Purple Elk or Deer Hair Caddis

FacebookTwitterGoogle+Share

This is a great searching or make a hatch pattern for summer trout.  It has that magic purple color that bring big trout to the surface.  When the purple haze does not have enough float switch over to this guy that can handle a class III riffle.  It is best tossed in front and behind  big rocks.  When tied in the larger sizes can even withstand a small emerger dropper tied onto the bend.
